Oral Presentations
General Information:
Oral presentations will be grouped by topic. Session rooms will be equipped with a computer and a data projector. Please bring your own laser pointer if one is required. Schedule information is now available on the website under the ‘Program’ heading.
Timing:
Oral presentations are limited to twenty (20) minutes: fifteen (15) minutes for presenting and five (5) minutes for questions. Time will be enforced by session moderators to keep concurrent sessions in synchrony.
Note: Organized Session presentation times may differ based on the organizer’s designated format.
How to submit your presentation:
An upload link is available to presenters starting June 5th through June 15th. Please log in to your account for specific instructions regarding the upload link.
The file must be in powerpoint format (.ppt or .pptx), and no larger than 15MB in size. Please do NOT link any video or hyperlinks as internet access from the presentation computers may not be available. If your file is too large due to a lot of graphics, please use the “compress” feature in powerpoint to reduce the picture’s resolution in your slides.
You will have the chance to upload and/or re-upload the file up until Saturday, June 16th.
Please bring a copy of your presentation in a USB Stick as a backup.
If your presentation is larger than 15MB in size, please notify us at ISSRM2012@ales.ualberta.ca (but please do not send the file to that email address) and bring it to the conference in a USB Stick. Be at your session 10 minutes ahead to upload your file.
Poster Presentations
General Information:
The poster session will take place in Lister Centre’s Maple Leaf Room on Monday, June 18th from 5:45-8:15pm, in conjunction with a reception and silent auction. A designated poster number will be assigned to you prior to the poster session, which will correspond with your assigned poster board.
Timing:
Presenters may set-up posters starting at 11:15 a.m. (after the keynote address) on Monday, June 18th in the Maple Leaf Room at Lister Centre. More details regarding set-up and take-down will be available closer to the conference date.
How to prepare your poster:
Your poster should be printed in landscape orientation in order to fit appropriately on the poster board. Each poster presenter will be provided with a surface on which to mount their poster presentation, as well as pushpins. Due to the size of the mounting surface, each poster is limited to a maximum of 36” (90 cm) tall by 42” (105 cm) wide.
Poster Suggestions:
Poster materials should be legible from a distance of 6.5 feet (two meters). For example, lettering in text and figures should be at least 5 mm, and the heading should be at least 10 mm. The title of the paper, the authors and their affiliations should appear near the top of the poster in letters approximately 25 mm high.
